NAISY’S KIDS HAVE LOT TO LEARN
HEARTS Under-18 boss Steven Naismith has urged his youngsters to learn from their Hampden heartache after losing the Youth Cup Final.
A late goal from sub Murray Thomas wasn’t enough as the Jambos paid for a poor first half by crashing 2-1 to Rangers after Darren McInally and Rory Wilson netted.
Former Scotland striker Naisy said: “The biggest feeling was frustration and that is because of the first-half performance. We seemed nervous.
“One of their goals comes from us putting the ball out for a corner.
“Some of the boys will move on from 18s this year and what I said to them is that every week as a pro, that pressure is there.
“You are in front of fans and there’s an expectation. Use the disappointment to say to yourself, ‘This isn’t going to happen again.’”
