CELTIC can be officially crowned champions at Tannadice tonight but Rangers fans are convinced nothing will steal their thunder.

The Ibrox men have got all eyes on Seville next week – and nicking all the credit.

John Bruce, Glasgow, said: “Celtic fans no longer recognise the Old Firm game and call it the Glasgow Derby. Now that Rangers have blazed their way to the Celtic fans’ hallowed mecca of Seville, will Celtic fans no longer recognise the city and have their ‘Seville Wall’ at Parkhead renamed the ‘Spanish Wall’?”

George Wilson, West Sussex, said: “In a week when Celtic will be crowned league champions, all the talk everywhere is about Rangers.

“This includes amongst Celtic supporters who, rather than celebratin­g their title triumph, are instead totally obsessed and petrified that Rangers might actually win the Europa League.”

Willie Mercer, Dumfries, said: “At the start of every season it is a foregone conclusion either Celtic or Rangers will win the title. The same can not be said for European competitio­n, where it is lauded as a great achievemen­t if any of them are still competing after Christmas. If Rangers win the Europa League this can be viewed as a far greater achievemen­t than winning the Premiershi­p.”

Alfie Mullen, London, said: “When Celtic get over the line, it will be a hollow victory. They will be handed the title courtesy of dodgy decisions by officials.

“If VAR was in play, Rangers would be two points ahead in the league with two fixtures still to play. Rangers should be looking at a potential treble rather than a double.”
