I’LL HAVE A PINTA CARLSBERG, PLEASE
IT looks a bit like a milk bottle – but the only pints coming from Carlsberg’s new planet-friendly container will be beer.
The brewing giant is to conduct a trial of its fibre pilsner bottle across Europe.
Eight thousand of the group’s new bottles – all completely recyclable – will be sampled by customers in eight markets including the UK, Poland and France. The containers have been made with wood-based fibre shell and contain a lining made of a plant-based polymer.
Carlsberg claimed they will retain the lager’s “taste and fizziness”.
