Thomas takes top recruiting role for Blues
THOMAS TUCHEL has been handed the keys to Chelsea after the club finally confirmed Marina Granovskaia is leaving.
The Blues boss will be granted more power over recruitment now the club’s chief transfer negotiator is stepping down. And he is under pressure to get things right as £95million flop Romelu Lukaku returns to Inter Milan on loan.
Chelsea will receive less than £10m in loan fees from Inter for the Belgium star.
With Granovskaia gone it is Tuchel and new Blues chairman Todd Boehly who will take charge of transfers.
Boehly will act as an interim sporting director and work closely with Tuchel to identify and recruit players this summer, with technical adviser Petr Cech also contributing.
