Andy admits he became a TV grump
SIR Andy Murray has admitted he was often boring and moody during TV appearances.
The tennis ace, 35, told how he turned from a friendly and chatty person at the start of he career into a more guarded person during interviews.
The dad of four, who has won Wimbledon twice, revealed: “When I first came on the tennis tour when I was 18 or 19, I was shooting from the hip, saying whatever came to my mind.
“The media were like ‘He’s a breath of fresh air’.
“Then I said a few things that were controversial or I shouldn’t have said and all of a sudden I was getting ripped.
“And then, I agree, I came across as moody, uninterested and boring.”
