Dowds is up Fir promotion push

ANTON DOWDS says his role in Arbroath’s promotion push will help him in Partick Thistle’s this term.

The striker, settling in at Firhill after two years in League One with Falkirk, scored five goals in the first half of last season when he was on loan at Gayfield.

Dowds said: “Coming up that league means you need to do everything a wee bit sharper, a wee bit quicker, smarter. If you don’t, you’ll get eaten alive.”
