season at Parkhead. Boss Diego Simeone’s top target for a new right-back is Udinese’s Nahuel Molina but Atletico face tough competition from Juventus.

However, Juranovic is high on the La Liga side’s shopping list to replace Sime Vrsaljko. Celtic have no interest in selling the player who joined from Legia Warsaw last summer in a £2.5million deal.

And potential suitors have been warned it will take a massive bid to change the club’s stance for Juranovic, who has four years left on his contract.

Boss Ange Postecoglou is ready to crank up his summer recruitment drive this week with Alexandro Bernabei expected to be first through the door.

The Hoops have agreed a deal with Argentine side Lanus for their left-back and the 21-year-old arrived in Glasgow at the end of last week to finalise his move.

Bernabei is set to sign a five-year contract.

Celtic are looking to add to their striking options and are well down the line with a couple of options

But Yosuke Ideguchi is determined to be more involved for Celtic next season – and wants to add goals to his game like compatriot Reo Hatate.

He had an injury-plagued start to life at the Hoops and struggled to break into the midfield for the final few months of the season.

But in an interview in Japan, he said: “Reo is also in the same position. Having a Japanese player in the team makes it easier but it is also a limited position.

“It’s great that Reo got results first but, of course, it’s frustrating not to play.

“In order to secure a permanent position here, I have to show my play and features more fully.

“Celtic’s football is very aggressive so if I were to show my strengths, it would be in switching between offense and defence.

“There are many offensive players in midfield so I hope to bring out my strengths, which are different from

those.”
