Van piece of history for Al

ALISON VAN UYTVANCK already has a piece of Wimbledon history to her name ahead of facing Emma Raducanu on Centre Court today. The Belgian world No.46, left, won the Veneto Open on grass this month and reached the fourth round at SW19 in 2018. But the 28-year-old made more headlines for kissing then partner Greet Minnen on Court No.2. The next year, they became the first same-sex couple to play doubles at the All England Club. Van Uytvanck lost 7-6 6-3 to Raducanu in their only previous meeting in Chicago last August. Raducanu said: “She’s a real tricky opponent, especially on grass.”
