AUTERAC: MIKE HELPED TO NICK IT
NEW Edinburgh signing Nick Auterac says the chance to work with Mike Blair again was a big reason for joining the club.
The uncapped prop, 29, trained under the head coach last summer as part of Scotland’s squad. Blair was in charge for some games that had to be called off due to the pandemic.
Auterac, who has left Northampton Saints after two seasons, said: “I have been fortunate to work with Mike in Scotland camps. We had a really good relationship and he was a major factor in me signing for Edinburgh.
“Joining Edinburgh is an extremely exciting next chapter for me. The club’s been in great form over the last few seasons. The opportunity to play in not only the URC but also the Champions Cup is a challenge I’m relishing.
“As a player, I would like to think my set-piece is up there with the best and I believe I can be a world class scrummager.”
