Sofa so bad, Fred

I’M not saying pre-show content warnings are getting beyond ridiculous, but last Friday’s Celebrity Gogglebox was surely the silliest one yet.

“Expect strong language, adult content… and discussions of paranormal activity.” Er, thanks for your concern, Channel 4. But I reckon we’ll be OK with a few ghost stories. We did watch Scooby Doo when we were kids, you know.

In any case, Gail Porter’s Spooked Scotland wasn’t the most unsettling thing on the show. Or was I the only viewer left a little disturbed by the sight of Fred Sirieix plonking his legs all over his poor squashed fiancee, Fruitcake, on a sofa that was barely even big enough for one of them?

Make sure there’s a footstool on the wedding list, Fruitcake. Or call the whole thing off.
