 6 No Meat Company frozen meat free sausages (270g) x 2, £3.50 (on offer for £1.75 per pack until July 5)

 Red onions (3), £1

 Don Mario chopped tomatoes (400g), 45p

 KTC red kidney beans (400g), 50p

INGREDIENT­S

 12 frozen meat-free sausages

 Red onion

 Yellow pepper

 Red pepper

 400g tinned chopped tomatoes

 400g kidney beans

FROM THE STORE CUPBOARD

 1 tbsp oil

 5 tbsp HP Classic BBQ sauce

 BBQ seasoning to taste

 Crusty bread (optional)

Cut 1 yellow and 1 red pepper, de-seed and finely slice. Peel and slice the onion.

In a frying pan heat one tablespoon of oil and add the frozen sausages, sliced red peppers and onions. Sprinkle in a generous amount of BBQ seasoning.

Cook over a medium heat for approximat­ely 10-12 minutes or until the sausages are browned and cooked.

Add 1 can of chopped tomatoes, 1 can of kidney beans – including the fluid – and the BBQ sauce.

Bring to the boil then simmer gently for 10 minutes and ensure the sausages are piping hot and cooked right through. Serve with crusty bread.
