HEINZ products have been pulled from Tesco shelves amid a row over pricing.
Kraft Heinz is cutting its supply to the retailer after supermarket bosses refused to pass on “unjustifiable price increases” to shoppers.
It means favourites such as beans, sauces and soups are now no longer available in many Tesco stores.
Some Record readers agreed with Tesco.
Cathy Cathy said: “I know there is a cost-ofliving crisis but lots of the big manufacturers are using it as an excuse to increase profits.
“In the end lots of people will simply move to cheaper alternatives.”
Annette Logan added: “Good on Tesco. The price of Heinz beans is shocking.
“I have felt the pinch on my weekly food shop.”
But other readers were more sympathetic.
Mark Bowran said: “These big supermarkets can’t dictate the price of food. Heinz would need to pay their workers more. Their electric bill will be at least double, plus the fuel to get product to shelf.”
