Leader Fox hopes to tee up a rugby treat on telly
IRISH OPEN leader Ryan Fox is eyeing up a super Saturday at home hero Shane Lowry’s expense.
If Fox, the first-round pacesetter after an eightunder 64, can follow that up today then he will go out late tomorrow.
It would mean the Kiwi can watch the first All Blacks v Ireland summer rugby Test. Fox, who leads by one, said: “I have a bet with Shane on who’s going to win and I’m giving away 10 points (in a handicap).”
Scots David Law and Ewen Ferguson are on five under while Bob MacIntrye is one further back.
JT Poston is off to a flier at the John Deere Classic, posting a nine-under 62.
