GIVEN the number of Tories putting themselves forward to be prime minister, it surely makes a mockery of the excuses we heard from Boris Johnson supporters for the last year.

“He can’t go, there is nobody to replace him,” they said.

There are some slippery characters putting themselves forward but the 64million+ people of the UK population must wait with bated breath for the 160,000+ Tory faithful to vote for all our futures, irrespective of the party in power.

It doesn’t seem very democratic.
