KILMARNOCK got their Premier Sports Cup campaign under way with a 3-1 victory over Highland League side Fraserburg­h.

Derek McInnes, below, would have been pleased Oli Shaw and Fraser Murray put them in control but Sean Butcher halved the deficit – before Kyle Lafferty hit the Broch on the break.

Returning Inverness striker George Oakley’s 88th- minute winner secured their 1-0 win at Kelty Hearts. The Englishman signed marked his second debut with a low finish.

Simon Murray was the hat-trick hero as Queen’s Park won 5-2 at Stranraer. The Spiders were three up inside half an hour thanks to Murray’s double and a cracker from Grant Savoury. The home side pulled two back through Scott Robertson and Scott McLean.

But Murray grabbed his treble just before the break with Savoury’s second sealing it in injury time.

Goalkeeper PJ Morrison helped Falkirk pick up a bonus point after saving in the penalty shoot-out as the Bairns beat Morton 5-4 after drawing 0-0. Both teams were down to 10 men after Morton’s Jai Quitongo saw red for a late tackle before Falkirk’s Liam Henderson denied a clear goalscorin­g chance.

Morrison saved Jaze Kabia’s penalty with Brad McKay hitting the winner.

Dunfermlin­e beat East Fife 2-0 thanks to Lewis McCann’s second-half double, firing in a volley and scoring from the spot late on.

Goals from Justin Devenny, Cammy Ballantyne and Adam Frizzell helped Airdrie to a 3-0 win at Cowdenbeat­h.

Lewis Hunter came off the bench to clinch Annan’s 3-2 victory at Queen of the South.

Connor Murray put Queens ahead but Dom Docherty levelled and Chris Johnston fired Annan into the lead with Ruari Paton making it all square until Hunter’s late winner.

Ayr goalie Charlie Cowie’s two saves helped them to a bonus point after beating Elgin 4-3 on penalties after a 0-0 draw.

Robert Thomson and Kieran Moore earned Stirling Albion a 2-1 win at Dumbarton. Ross MacLean scored a late goal for Sons.
