Man by Man

CELTIC

JOE HART 7 Not much he could have done with the brilliant leveller. Had surprisingly little to do apart from couple of saves.

JOSIP JURANOVIC 8 Back on his old stomping ground and looked at home. Raking ball was crucial to set up goal but work cut out against Mykhaylo Mudryk.

CAMERON CARTER-VICKERS 7 Strolled it for half an hour then had to dig in when Shakhtar got their act together. A rock under pressure.

MORITZ JENZ 7 Denied goal at one end then helped fish ball out net at other. Was rash on occasion but slick on the ball.

GREG TAYLOR 7 Tough task charging up left flank but enjoyed a decent tussle with Brazilian namesake Lucas.

CALLUM McGREGOR 7 Skipper having to play out skin at this level with the way his side attacks but rising to challenge. Couple of loose ones but generally in total control.

MATT O’RILEY 7 Another slick display. Sprayed the ball sweetly during the dominant early stages and wasn’t far away with couple of digs from distance after break.

REO HATATE 7 Got a bit of luck with the opener but deserved it after his lung-bursting run into the box. Put in the kind of shift that was tiring to watch.

SEAD HAKSABANOVIC 6 A surprise starter but the decision looked bang-on right from the start. Superb drive to tee up Hatate but ran out of steam and replaced at break.

JOTA 8 Desperate to impress on biggest of stages. Probably tried too hard at times but produced some brilliant moments that just lacked finishing touch.

KYOGO FURUHASHI 7 Almost put Celts ahead in first minute and came close to nicking another off the keeper. Constant menace.

Subs: Daizen Maeda – added some muchneeded drive, 7. Gio Giakoumakis – late chance he curled wide, 5. David Turnbull – a curling shot over, 5. Aaron Mooy – cool presence in latter stages, 5. Liel Abada – chucked on late, 3. Not used: Bain, Siegrist, Bernabei, Abildgaard, Forrest, Ralston, Welsh.

Shakhtar: Trubin 7, Taylor 7, Bondar 6, Stepanenko 6, Sudakov 6 (Ocheretko 78), Shved 5 (Petriak 61); Mudryk 8, Zubkov 5 (Traore 61), Bondarenko 6, Matviyenko 5, Konoplia 6. Not used: Shevchenko, Pyatov, Kryvtsov, Sikan, Mykhaylichenko, Kryskiv, Djurasek, Topalov, Kozik.

Referee: Glenn Nyberg (Sweden).
