Watchdog’s court bid on care home
A WATCHDOG has launched a legal bid to have a care home’s registration cancelled.
It comes after inspectors discovered serious and significant concerns over the quality of care offered to residents at Dalawoodie House Nursing Home in Newbridge, Dumfriesshire.
The Care Inspectorate has submitted an official application for cancellation to the sheriff court.
Inspectors turned up unannounced at the home three times this year and found concerns including residents not receiving enough baths or showers.
The care home has been contacted for comment.
