SSPCA joy after saving red squirrels
A SCOTTISH animal charity has shared the adorable story of how they were able to save four red squirrel kittens.
The Scottish SPCA posted a picture of the four cute squirrels on its Facebook page after successfully hand-rearing them and reintroducing them into the wild.
A trio of siblings, named Peanut, Pecan and Poppy, were two to three weeks old when they were found. They were joined by fellow orphan Pumpkin.
The SSPCA wrote: “All four were hand-reared by one of our dedicated team members for around five weeks.”
Thanking supporters, the charity added: “We couldn’t be there for wild animals like Peanut, Pecan, Poppy and Pumpkin without you.”
