Price of stupidity

KYLE Lafferty is not alone – all football players and sportsmen are highly paid professionals and role models for their respective clubs.

They need to be careful what they say or do and, if any player brings their club into disrepute, in my view they should be dismissed – not banned or fined.

A football career is short but would be cut even shorter if sectarian slurs were punished.
