Potter: I’m still not a sexy name

GRAHAM POTTER insists he is still not too sexy for his car – even though he is now Chelsea manager.

But he admits it’s not a question he has been asked before.

In his first press conference at his training ground domain in Cobham – ahead of their clash with Crystal Palace today – he was reminded of an interview he gave in January while in charge at Brighton in which he claimed it was “hard to be a sexy name when you are called Potter”.

Even as a Chelsea manager?

“I very rarely feel sexy. Maybe you do but I very rarely do,” he said.

It is 22 days since Potter was named the new Blues manager but only when his side run out at Palace this afternoon will his Premier League campaign for the club start.

Counterpart Patrick Vieira says his players and staff have prepared to face a Potter side today – and not Chelsea. He said: “We’ve been looking at what he’s done at Brighton and the Champions League game.”
