Eddie ready to put shine back at Star

-

NEW Dalbeattie Star boss Eddie Warwick insists he’s under no illusions about the huge task facing him as he tries to lift the club off the bottom of the table.

He will meet his players just before his first match against Spartans today and then faces another two games in the next seven days without a single training stint.

Star are four points adrift after 10 defeats plus a draw and Warwick said: “We are under no illusions of just how difficult and how big the task ahead is.

“What we’ve got to do is to take one game at a time and try to improve on the position in the league.

“We will try to improve the playing squad while working hard in the background improving the club on and off the pitch.

“We will go to Edinburgh, we will try and do our best to get a positive outcome for the club.”

Elsewhere, leaders East Kilbride go to Caledonian Braves. Rangers B host Hearts’ second string while Celtic B are away to Gala Fairydean Rovers.
