OWEN CAN BE CALMING INFLUENCE

-

QUEEN’S PARK v RAITH ROVERS

QUEEN’S PARK’S start to the season may have raised his blood pressure at times but boss Owen Coyle says he’s glad help will be on hand today.

The Spiders have teamed up with the British Heart Foundation and pharmacy chain M&D Green to run an awareness day, which will encourage fans to take up a free blood pressure check when they face Raith at Ochilview.

Stations around the stadium will be set up pre-match to allow fans to be checked and Coyle said: “When you get to my age and have been in football for a long period of time, you tend to be calmer than you were when you were younger.

“But it’s really important for us to support causes like this. It’ll be a case of two attacking teams going all out to win. It has all the makings of a really good game.”

Rovers have won their last two and boss Ian Murray said: “We go into the game in decent form.

“It’s an opportunity to try to gain another three points.

“But it’s against a really good team, who have done remarkably well since Owen has gone in there and who have adapted to the Championship quickly and well, with very good players.”
