Gio: Glen is just focusing on the game

GIO VAN BRONCKHORST has offered his support to Glen Kamara after the Rangers ace again found himself the target of alleged racial abuse.

Finnish FA bosses last week claimed a slur was aimed at Kamara by an unnamed Montenegrin player during their Nations League clash in Podgorica.

But UEFA have confirmed they will not be pressing charges after Kamara opted against taking the matter further.

The 26-year-old was previously targeted by Slavia Prague star Ondrej Kudela during Rangers’ Europa League clash back in 2021.

The shock incident also led to the former Arsenal trainee receiving a stream of abuse online and van Bronckhorst said: “I spoke with Glen when he came back from the international games. Of course he had a bad experience again.

“He doesn’t want to think about it. He just wants to go on and keep his focus on being here.”
