2022 in review: What the clients said about ILAWS

-

KEITH MCLELLAN, KILMARNOCK

Keith McLellan praised the “fantastic” service he received from ILAWS after deciding the time was right to have a Will, Power of Attorney and Property Trust drawn up.

Keith, 79, of Stewarton, Kilmarnock, got in touch with the legal and Will writing specialists after reading an article about them in the newspaper and was impressed right from the start.

He explained: “They actually came to my own home rather than me going to them. Elaine came out to see us and as soon as she came in I felt I could trust her, I felt totally at ease. She explained everything in such great detail to me it was unbelievable. Elaine was here for about an hour and took the time to answer all my questions - everything was made so clear.”

For Keith, securing his assets has given him and wife Mary peace of mind. He said: “It’s important for me to protect what I have worked for all my life rather than the Government taking it away and depriving my family of their inheritance. It was absolutely first class service.”

JOHN BRYSON BONE ANDREWS, INVERNESS

John Bryson Bone Andrews has praised the “excellent” service he received from ILAWS after he and his wife, Helen, decided the time was right to have their Powers of Attorney drawn up.

John, of Inverness, said: “I’m 78 and my wife is 80 next month - so I thought that given our ages we would try to make it as easy as possible for our two sons.”

In fact, it was a process that was much easier than John may have imagined. He said: “I phoned them up and a very nice rep came to the house, explained everything and answered all our questions - so we just went ahead with it.”

Helen suffers from a medical condition so it was also a relief to the couple that ILAWS was able to expedite their documentation. John said: “The service was excellent. I would say to friends ‘We have done it and this is who we have done it by and we are happy’.”

SHONAGH ROULSTON, GLASGOW

Shonagh Roulston 51, of Hillington, Glasgow, was delighted by the Will-writing services offered by ILAWS.

She said: “I’d had two or three people around me who had passed away and there were issues over Wills, so that’s when I thought I should do it. I’d been toying with the idea for ages.”

Although Shonagh did have a Will, it was outdated. So she contacted the estate planning expert about having a Last Will & Testament document drawn up. Tony, from ILAWS, visited Shonagh at home and took care and time to talk through the process.

She said: “It was straightforward and the staff were all lovely. Any questions I had were answered, they were great. I would recommend them - actually I already have. I am trying to get my daughter to get hers done next. After being through what we have been through, I am drumming it into her that it is important. We never know what’s around the corner.”

MARGARET ORR, INVERNESS

One Inverness couple were so at ease when their Power of Attorney documents were drawn up by ILAWS that they even squeezed in a few giggles.

Margaret Orr, 74, is delighted that her husband decided to contact ILAWS after reading about the company in the newspaper, so much so that she is recommending their services to friends and family.

ILAWS were more than happy to arrange a home visit for the couple and were quick to address any concerns they may have had.

Margaret said: “A really nice chap came out. He put us at ease, we had a few laughs, he was great. He explained it all and that’s what we really needed - and got it all put through for us very quickly.

“And it wasn’t expensive at all. If anyone asked me if I’d recommend ILAWS I’d give them the phone number and the name, definitely.”
