That’s my first goal... now I want a lot Mo

- Michael Baillie

RAYAN MOHAMMED wasted no time in grabbing his first senior goal – then vowed to fire Forfar up the table, before doing the same for Dundee.

The teen sensation displayed his striking instinct by being in the right place at the right time to force the ball over the line just three minutes after coming off the bench.

The 18-year-old’s goal hauled Ray McKinnon’s men level at 2-2 in a dingdong battle at Dumbarton.

Stuart Morrison cancelled out Michael Ruth’s opener, only for Marc Kelly to restore the Sons’ lead before the break.

But Dundee loanee Mohammed earned the visitors a point 13 minutes from time – but couldn’t stop them slipping to second bottom spot.

It was a big moment for Mohammed and he said: “I was delighted to make an impact after coming on by scoring a goal.

“That’s my first goal in senior football, so I’m absolutely delighted.

“I work hard for these types of moments and it was just striker’s instinct to be in the right place.”

Mohammed hopes he can catch the eye of Dundee boss Tony Docherty by scoring more goals to help Forfar climb up the table.

He said: “It is just about proving myself every time I get on and to show the fans and the gaffer what I can do.

“It’s great playing firstteam football, it’s a different experience but it’s been really good and I just want to get more minutes.

“If we keep working hard we can catch teams and get right up the table.

“The coaches at Dundee and the manager have

given me tips, and if I do well here my goal is to get into the first team at Dundee when I go back and do well.”

Stenhousemuir stretched their lead at the top to 16 points – despite being held to a 1-1 draw in Dick Campbell’s first game in charge of East Fife.

Ross Meechan headed the Warriors into an early lead but Nathan Austin replied with his 13th goal of the season.

Elgin City ended nearly a year of travel sickness with a 2-1 win at Spartans.

Mark Gallagher fired the visitors in front just after the hour and, after Blair Henderson equalised, Mitch Taylor fired their first away winner in 21 games and 351 days.

Finn Ecrepont scored a 60-yard stunner to add to Kyle Fleming’s early opener and secure a 2-0 home win over Clyde for Stranraer.
