Hendo Dutch dismay
JORDAN HeNDeRSON is still searching for his first win as an Ajax player after the Dutch club lost 3-2 at Heerenveen.
The former Liverpool midfielder’s debut ended in a 1-1 draw with eredivisie leaders PSV last week.
And the england man and his new team-mates appeared on course for a humiliating defeat when they found themselves three down after just 46 minutes yesterday.
An own-goal brought the Amsterdam side back into the game before former Middlesbrough striker Chuba Akpom fired hopes of a comeback with a late second.
But Ajax were unable to find an equaliser and they lie fifth in the table.
Meanwhile, Real Madrid have revealed Jude Bellingham sprained an ankle during his side’s 4-0 win against La Liga title rivals Girona on Saturday.
Los Blancos, who moved five points clear of Girona in the table, have allayed fears the england midfielder sustained a serious injury after scoring twice in the emphatic win.
A brief statement on the club’s official website said: “Following tests carried out on Jude by the Real Madrid medical services, he has been diagnosed with a sprain in his left ankle. He will be monitored.”
Bellingham took his goals tally to 20 in 31 appearances.
Lamine Yamal got Barcelona out of jail with an equaliser in an entertaining 3-3 draw with Granada at then Nou Camp.
The winger had got the Catalans into an early lead.
But German Sanchez levelled before Facundo Pellistri put Granada ahead. Robert Lewandowski evened things but Ignasi Miquel put Granada in front again before 16-year-old Yamal netted a stunner to give each team a point.
