Compassion could go a long way in today’ s world
The final straw of the assassination of Alexei Navalny was the death knell for Putin
History on repeat
I have just listened to a speech delivered by Lord David Cameron.
I am definitely not a Conservative voter, however this speech moved me and was delivered with compassion and utter common sense regarding Ukraine and the threat from Putin.
The final straw of the assassination of alexei Navalny was the death knell for Putin, whatever way you look at it.
Imperialism by force does not work and even the UK has a lot to answer for.
Yes, there are lots of lost Russians, Ukrainians and many other nations’ people tied to this. Unfortunately.
Looking at the UK, it is a soft imperialist in modern terms, however it should also listen to the people of Scotland and Northen Ireland, who are also crying out for change from this governance.
The horrors of this modern world with history being repeated as people still suffer due to these events.
The greed of humanity is staggering and looking back to WWI and WWII, the world has learned nothing. I have
this period ingrained into me via my upbringing and still consider this as part of me.
First Minister humza Yousaf is another man who understands a world view and with compassion, along with Nicola Sturgeon.

Don’t delay PO victims
VICTIMS of the Post Office horizon scandal in Scotland could face longer waits for justice if the SNP don’t follow UK Government legislation.
humza Yousaf has been told it is his responsibility to fast-track legislation for Scottish victims of the Post Office horizon scandal.
There must be no further delay before these appalling miscarriages of justice are put right, which is why we need clarity from Yousaf about what action the government will take next.
He must follow the lead of the UK Government’s fast-tracked legislation, so that Scottish victims of the horizon
scandal are not kept waiting any longer for justice than their counterparts in england and Wales.

Must try harder
AS The dust has begun to settle following Scotland’s marvellous 30-21 Calcutta Cup win over england at Murrayfield, what struck me and others was the number of fans streaming out of the stadium before the match was over.
These were not english fans, it should be noted, but supposed Scottish fans, who departed before they witnessed Scotland winning the Calcutta Cup four times in a row, for the first time since the 1890s.
Individuals were not leaving a few minutes before the end, unforgivable in itself, but on some occasions a whole 10 minutes before the final whistle.
It is incredible that, with the game still on a knife edge and history to be made, individuals would decide to depart, not even bothering to stay for the whole 80 minutes.
There are countless numbers of those who would have given a right arm to attend what is one of the most highly sought after events in the sporting year.
In future, those not wanting to stay until the end may want to consider doing the honourable thing and forego their tickets for true fans. A Orr, Edinburgh
Bubble trouble
IS IT any wonder people feel MPs and MSPs live in a bubble from which no sense emits? Stephen Flynn SNP MP is getting all exercised over the deaths of Muslims in a foreign country where, whatever he or any of his sidekicks say, it will not make a blind bit of difference.
and all the while his SNP pals in Scotland are presiding over excess deaths in his own country because the NHS is floundering after 15 years of their clammy hands pulling all the wrong levers here in Scotland. S Hogarth, Strathaven
Increase tax the mick
WHY should anyone in argyll and Bute pay 10 per cent more council tax than anywhere else in Scotland?
The citizens in this area should therefore refuse to pay the extra money to an already extortionate and draconian tax. The government needs to scrap this ever-increasing stealth tax and start paying councils in full as they do in the rest of europe.

Cash flow faux pas
The SNP-Green government is cutting £196million off the affordable housing budget as it does not have the money, yet the same SNP-Green politicians want to insist ordinary householders install expensive heat pumps which they cannot afford either.
Does the Scottish government not see a wee problem here? Gerald Edwards,

Bog off, politicians
I CAN’T believe the SNP are planning to try get rid of BOGOF deals again. Don’t they understand the rise in living costs, low incomes etc? People are always on the lookout for good deals to save money plus get fed. I can tell them where to go but first part won’t be BOG. W Hutchison, Aberdeen
