Lucinda in the mix

- By gaRRy owen

MONOCHROMIX (3:30) can keep Lucinda Russell’s bandwagon rolling at Ayr’s Weatherbys Raceday.

The fair hurdler was a superb second to Artic Row on his chasing bow over course and distance.

The six-year-old has learned plenty so should turn the tables on his rival at these weights.

HAZY GLEN (2:00) can hit the heights for Team Easterby in the maiden hurdle.

The grey improved again over timber when just held by Moon Over Mexico at Newcastle. That is respectable form so the gelding can open his account in a decent contest.

SWORD OF FATE (2:30) looks sharp for Liam Kerr in the Virgin Bet Hurdle.

The 11-year-old put in a rare poor effort over fences when sixth to Minella Youngy at Kelso. The gelding is well treated back over timber so can resume winning ways down in grade.

KINGSTON ROCK (3:00) can sink his foes for Susan Corbett in the Weatherbys Hurdle. The gelding was an excellent second to Eire Street at Carlisle.

The grey was staying on well over a stiff two miles so can go one better back up in trip.

HERITIER DE SIVOLA (4:00) is out to kick-off a golden spell for Phillip Kirby in the three-miler. The seven-year-old relished tackling this trip when pipped by Camp Belan in a similar contest here.

The trainer can double up with MICKS JET (4:30) in the novices’ hurdle.

The mare built on some solid timber efforts when slamming Josie Alice at Musselburgh.

The six-year-old is open to plenty more progress so has enough to claim another strong event.

DANIELSFLYER (7:30) can soar for David Thompson on the Newcastle all-weather.

The 10-year-old continued his revival by hammering the useful Rocket Rod over track and trip.

The gelding remains fairly treated so can stay on song in this stronger handicap.

SAISONS D’OR (8:00) is set to sparkle for Jedd O’Keeffe in the BetMGM Handicap.

MARIE’S JEWEL (8:30) can open her account for Fell & Murray in the lucky last.
