-

IT’S Scottish Cup weekend across the board with the women’s game also playing quarter-final ties.

In a mirroring of the men’s game, Hibs host Rangers in the tie that looks the pick of the bunch as Jo Potter’s side head through to Meadowbank in the noon kick-off.

Rangers beat Hibs 3-0 last weekend and few expect Grant Scott’s side to cause an upset.

Striker Eilidh Adams was forced off in that one and is now set to miss the remainder of the season.

“Unfortunately it looks like Eilidh will not feature again for us this season,” said Scott. “She’s got a broken bone in her foot. The medical staff have booked her in to see a specialist on Monday.”

Potter goes into the game on the back of signing an extension to her current deal as she looks certain to deliver silverware in her first season at Rangers.

Top of the SWPL with a four-point cushion and with a place in the final of the Sky Sports Cup already assured, she will be keen to book a semi-final slot in the Scottish Cup too.

Holders Celtic are away to Montrose as they head into the game on the back of a 6-1 hammering of Partick Thistle last Sunday.

Montrose goalkeeper Lauren Perry, recalled to the Northern Ireland squad last weekend, has signed a one-year contract extension with the club.

Manager Craig Feroz said: “Following the couple of weeks that Lauren has had, it is a very proud moment for the club and a brilliant time to announce she is extending her contract for another year, showing she believes the club is moving in the right direction.

“Her quality this season has shown what a crucial part of the team she is, so I am delighted that she has agreed to stay at the club.”

Elsewhere, Partick Thistle face Hearts for a semi-final place while Livingston play Spartans.
