Batman fights fan as Fener steal win

- By ALAN MARSHALL

Michy Batshuayi is set for huge trouble after he appeared to kick a fan in the head amid a pitch invasion.

the former chelsea ace hit an 87th-minute winner for Fenerbahce as they stole a 3-2 victory at trabzonspor, who had battled back from two goals down.

Players were pelted with objects throughout from the home support with the match delayed on a number of occasions as authorities tried to get fans under control.

at the end of the game, Fener’s players gathered in the centre circle to celebrate, only for home supporters to invade the pitch and confront them. as more and more fans flocked onto the pitch, there were violent scenes.

Players ran for cover down the tunnel but Batshuayi, after spotting a fan running in his direction, threw a spinning high kick at the man.

turkish minister Osman askın Bak said: “this does not suit the spirit of friendship and brotherhood of sports. the investigation has been initiated immediately.”

Xabi alonso insists his Bayer Leverkusen players are just a “brutal april” away from a first-ever Bundesliga crown.

the German table-toppers remain 10 points clear after a battling 3-2 win at Freiburg.

But alonso wasn’t doing any celebrating as he warned the next month – with a German cup semi-final and Euro ties with West ham, will make or break his side.

he said: “We have a brutal april coming up but we will go for it. My main concern is that the players all come back healthy from the international break with no problems.”

in italy, inter Milan’s title charge was slowed by a 1-1 draw with Napoli.

in spain, Barcelona swept aside atletico Madrid 3-0 in the capital last night.
