United are catching eye of EPL duo
Unstoppable star Lewis a Rovers hero
BRIGHTON and Brentford are both looking into potential partnerships with Dundee United.
The interest comes on the back of the SFA’s decision to allow Bournemouth co-owner Bill Foley to buy a minority shareholding in Hibs.
Their Premier League rivals are both now looking at the possibility of investments of their own north of the border.
They are both looking closely at the Championship leaders although interest is still in the early stages.
Brighton chairman Tony Bloom also has an investment in Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise and is keen on a deal in Scotland.
Brentford owner Matthew Benham invested in Midtjylland but has since sold his majority holding in the Danish club.
Bees technical director Lee Dykes has already been up at United games recently.
RAITH ROVERS boss Ian Murray has hailed Lewis Vaughan ahead of the striker’s testimonial match.
Vaughan has made 265 appearances and scored 99 goals since signing his first professional contract with the club in January 2012 as well as successfully battling back from four cruciate ligament injuries.
And ahead of tomorrow’s game against Hibs Murray said: “Lewis has been through the wringer, in terms of injuries. But his appetite and hunger for the game is incredible.
“He doesn’t look like a guy who has had those bad injuries – he doesn’t miss a day’s training, he doesn’t shirk tackles, he runs himself into the ground.
“The fans love him, we love working with him and it looks like he loves playing for Raith. Hopefully he’ll get a good turnout and hopefully Hibs bring a few fans through as well.”
