POLICE TASER AXE ATTACKER
Court shown dramatic clip of moment cops take down thug as he is jailed for 20 months
DRAMATIC footage has shown cops using a taser to take down a man carrying out a terrifying axe attack on holidaymakers.
Crazed Mohammed Khan, 36, went on the rampage at a remote holiday home near Barmouth in Wales.
Khan, from Rutherglen, near Glasgow, was drunk and under the influence of drugs as he terrorised the two families staying in the property.
He smashed the glass in the door as the residents cowered inside during the 2am attack on August 25 last year.
However, he was apprehended by police officers.
In the footage, cops can be heard shouting: “Put it down now,” as Khan was discovered wielding two axes – which he picked up from a nearby log pile.
After he failed to comply, police then used a taser, forcing him to fall to the ground.
Officers were called in after tourists woke up due to the disturbance, which lasted for over an hour.
The clip was played as Khan appeared at Caernarfon Crown Court. It shows Khan dressed in light-coloured tracksuit-style clothing and white shoes while wielding the two axes
Two police officers shone torches at him and loudly told him to drop the weapons.
While one yelled: “Put it down now!”, the other demanded: “Put it on the floor!” However, Khan, with a black rucksack on his back, refused to back down and forced an officer to taser him.
The video shows Khan immediately hitting the ground and groaning. He was instructed to lie face-down.
One officer commanded his partner: “Handcuff him,” before warning Khan: “If you move you’ll be tasered again.”
Khan, who had been travelling around the country, was arrested and taken into custody.
He pled guilty to causing affray and the judge, Timothy Petts, sentenced him to 20 months in prison.
