Fans of M&S are racing to buy ‘dupe’ £45 trainers

- by RACHEL WILLIAMS

A PAIR of trainers from M&S are “so comfy” shoppers say they can “walk for miles” – and they are similar to a major brand.

While the arrival of the warmer season brings with it the opportunity to refresh your wardrobe, it’s also a good time to purchase some new footwear.

If you’re a fan of the laidback style of the iconic New Balance 327 Trainers but can’t justify the over £100 price tag, then we have found the perfect alternative. Enter the £45 Leather Lace Up Side Detail Trainers from M&S, which have been hailed as a “dupe” for the major brand.

Boasting a chunky sole and contrasting side panels, it is understandable why so many reviews say the retailer’s shoes “look just like” New Balance’s 327s. Even the side detail looks similar to the ‘N’ branding.

M&S’s trainers are also a fraction of the cost, as a pair of 327s would set you back £110 from the major sportswear brand’s website, alongside ASOS.

Meanwhile, Schuh does currently stock them for a bit less at £100.

While it is the beige mix that seems to be the “dupe”, M&S’s trainers are available in three other mixes – black, green and air force blue. Hundreds of shoppers have heaped praise on the Leather Lace Up Side Detail Trainers from M&S, as they currently have a 4.7 rating and numerous comments praising them as “designer without the price tag.”

One review read: “New Balance Dupes. Wore these for the 1st time on a city break – so comfy!!

“Walked miles a day and they were fab.”

A second happy shopper wrote: “Usually a size 7-7.5 and the 7 is plenty big enough and quite roomy. Absolutely love these trainers in the black!

“So comfy, stylish and in my opinion nicer than the New Balance ones!”

And another added: “Designer looks but bargain price tag! Great looking.”
