Online make-up star jamie rushed to hospital
Influencer reveals Zoom call drama
INFLUENCER Jamie Genevieve has said she was rushed to hospital with breathing issues.
The make-up mogul, 30, was on a Zoom call when she encountered difficulties.
Yesterday, Jamie said she was still struggling to get beyond shallow breathing.
She said: “Look at the nick of me…minor update…I don’t know why I’m updating you. Just in case.
“I ended up going back to hospital yesterday for more tests because I just could not breathe.”
She pointed to her neck in an online video post and said: “I can shallow breathe but I just cannot get it past here and it was freaking me out.”
Speaking from her Glasgow home, Jamie added: “I was on Zoom calls and I was talking a lot and a couple of my team saw me trying to take deep breaths in between and it wasn’t for happening.
“So I went to hospital and got steroids and all the tests look fine. I think I’m just post-viral still, but I was like, I can’t live like this.
“I cried so much, so I’m really embarrassed. So if anyone saw me crying in the hospital I’m sorry about that and I’m taking it easy.”
Jamie, whose make-up company Vieve Ltd was valued at £6.5million last year, was born in Tillicoultry, Clackmannanshire, and was working on a beauty counter at Debenhams in Glasgow when she first started
posting on social media. The star eventually quit her shop job to focus on her social media channels and in 2020 launched her own beauty brand Vieve, which promotes veganism and cruelty-free products.
She now travels extensively around the world promoting her range.
In the past month she has visited the US and London, as well as Italy to work in her cosmetics lab.
The beauty pro – whose real name is Jamie Grant – is married to Jack McCann and gave birth to their daughter Romy last May,
Jamie has been on a health kick recently with a personal trainer twice a week.
She regularly blogs about her life and recently told her followers on YouTube she was attending the dentist after she lost her tooth. In the same week, she lost a toenail after banging her toe.
