I’ll see you Jimmy then decide my Dons future

- by SCOTT BURNS

KELLE ROOS wants to talk to incoming Aberdeen boss Jimmy Thelin before making a decision on his long-term Pittodrie future.

The big keeper is out of contract in the summer and it looks increasingly likely he will be moving on.

The Dutchman admits things have been thrown up in the air by all the managerial uncertainty.

Thelin will take over in early June and Roos said: “I would love to speak to him regardless.

“Lets not rush. First we have to make sure we are doing all the right things here. We can go from there in the summer.

“I have heard he will pay a lot of attention to us as a group. That will give him ideas of what he likes and what he doesn’t.

“He is going to see what players suit and who don’t. That is all very normal. We will find out soon enough.”

Aberdeen could move for Celtic back-up Benji Siegrist if Roos leaves.

The Dons are now playing for pride and points with the priority now ending up as best of the rest in seventh. They start the run-in with a game against the team in that position, Motherwell, on Saturday.

Roos said: “It is simple. We have to make sure we win these games and finish the season strong.

“Realistically, the place where we are just now is not the place where we want to be competing. We want to prove that is the case.”
