RANGERS

JACK BUTLAND

5 Rangers’ player of the year but he’ll have to take the blame for a horror spill which handed Celtic trophy. Englishman had been virtual spectator until Bernardo let fly but was caught out by the swerve, dropping it at Idah’s feet.

JAMES TAVERNIER 6 Skipper was again the target as Celtic sought to release Maeda in behind at every opportunity. Looked unsure early on but grew in strength. Unlucky not to bag an assist with some wicked corner deliveries.

LEON BALOGUN 6 Centre-back passed a late fitness test to start but soldiered through the 90 minutes. Caught flatfooted as Idah reacted quickest to pounce for Celtic’s winner.

BEN DAVIES 7 Didn’t seem too troubled by Kyogo’s movement in behind or Idah when Irishman was thrown on for the final stages as he put on a steady show alongside Balogun.

RIDVAN YILMAZ 7 Wiped away the tears he shed in the manager’s office as injury fears proved premature – but was left crestfallen again despite lasting the 90 minutes when victory was snatched away.

NICO RASKIN 7 Given nod over Parkhead sinner John Lundstram and justified the display with a combative performance. But it was his push on Hart which cost Rangers so dear as Sima’s tap-in was ruled out by VAR.

MOHAMED DIOMANDE 8 Promised through the week he would turn up this time after disappointing in his two previous derby run-outs and did just that. Tremendous in tackle and determined driving forward. Clement must build his team around the Ivory Coast kid next term.

TODD CANTWELL 6 Better display on the ball that he’s shown in recent Old Firm games as he dictated Rangers’ forward movements. But again his failure to snuff out McGregor allowed Celtic to escape press at times. Petulant push on Taylor as he was subbed more proof he’s not got the temperament for this fixture.

DUJON STERLING 7 Bullied Taylor with physicality and power but looks wasted out wide. Clement has to find a role for him in the engine room next season. Picked up a nonsense booking for perfect tackle on Taylor.

FABIO SILVA 5 Another game that makes you wonder if Wolves were scammed when they paid £35million to sign him from Porto. Big chance in the first half but no surprise to see on-loan forward fluff his lines.

CYRIEL DESSERS 5 Nigerian ends season with 22 goals but will still be viewed as hugely frustrating figure. One big chance before hobbling off injured at half-time but saw it blocked by O’Riley. SUBS: ABDALLAH SIMA On at the interval for Dessers and thought he’d put Rangers in front before VAR chalked it off. 6

SCOTT WRIGHT Took over from Cantwell but it was his mis-control that sent Celtic racing forward for the winner. 2

RABBI MATONDO Replaced Silva before launching off on a couple of bold drives. No end product though. 3

ROSS McCAUSLAND Thrown on for injured Sterling with 10 to go but couldn’t make an impact. 2

JOHN LUNDSTRAM One final Gers appearance for the English midfielder as he replaced Raskin in stoppage time. 1
