Swans back for Bony
SWANSEA are ready to launch a bid to re-sign Wilfried Bony.
The Ivory Coast striker, 27 (right) left the Welsh outfit for Manchester City 18 months ago in a deal worth £25million.
But that big-money switch has proved a flop and Bony now sees his future away from The Etihad.
Everton appear favourites to land the African hitman with City reportedly willing to include him as part of a £50m offer for Goodison defender John Stones.
But such cash-plus-player transfers are notoriously complicated to conclude – and that leaves the door open for Swansea.
Bony scored 26 times in 56 matches there after arriving from Vitesse Arnhem in July 2013 for a club-record £12m fee.
Now the Swans, armed with funds from their new US majority shareholders, want him back, either on loan or for a cut-price £15m.
Francesco Guidolin is desperate to boost his squad’s firepower, with doubts over the future of £15m-rated striker Andre Ayew.
HARRY PRATT CHELSEA have reportedly made a £41.7million offer for PSG’s Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani.
Sources say Cavani, 29 – valued at £66.7m by the French champions – wants to leave due to the exit of Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Chelsea have also reportedly told Benfica they will pay the £23m release clause for Sweden defender Victor Lindelof, 22.
