Rio teen quicksteps in

-

A FORMER X Factor talent scout has spilled the show’s secrets in a tell-all book.

Chris Grayston was hired by Simon Cowell’s record label Syco to find people to audition for the ITV programme.

But the music promoter has caused a headache for boss Cowell, 56, with the release of his must-read story just one week before the new series starts.

Chris is credited with discovering Luke Friend, Lucy Spraggan and Jahmene Douglas – who all made it to the live shows.

But his book, The Secret To Success In The Music Industry, lifts the lid on the inner workings of The X Factor, meaning any contestants will be better prepared. A show source said: “The book is packed with tips on how to fast-track through the rounds and how to stand out.

“It’s unlikely Simon will want everyone knowing how to get ahead on X Factor.” STRICTLY chiefs have signed up Rio 2016 star Claudia Fragapane,

The Olympic gymnast, inset, is the 11th celebrity to be confirmed by the BBC for the next series.

The 18-year-old, who narrowly missed out on making the final in Rio, said she will be out of her comfort zone on Strictly.

She added: “I am used to performing in front of big crowds but this is going to be so different to my floor routines in gymnastics. I love a challenge and performing.” Her amazing figure means Claudia will be one of the sexiest celebs in the new series when it launches on September 3. She said: “I love dressing up and wearing sparkly costumes. I’m a really big fan of Strictly and was so excited to be chosen to take part.” Claudia shot to fame in 2016 as the first English woman in 84 years to win four Commonwealth Games gold medals. The 15 celeb contestants are also known to include model Daisy Lowe and TV presenter Laura Whitmore. The full line-up will be revealed tomorrow.
