BABE DAVINIA TELLS OF PARTY-MAD ‘We had Hollyoaks benders lasting for days’
HOLLYOAKS babe Davinia Taylor once got so drunk she woke up after a “lost weekend” to find a new roundabout built outside her house.
The actress, 38, shot to fame playing scheming Jude Cunningham in the late 1990s.
She returned to the Channel 4 soap over the summer to film her character’s dramatic comeback after 18 years away.
Davinia has fond memories of her wild antics in those early years.
On one mad weekend she joined some of the Hollyoaks cast, including Nick Pickard who plays Tony Hutchinson, for a party – and they got so plastered she awoke to find a whole new road set up outside.
Davinia laughed: “Nick used to be my partner in crime.
“But there were a few guys in the production office who were like, ‘Do you remember that lost weekend?’
“The boys and girls had a house and I think we were all at the boys’ house for the weekend.
“They built a road outside while we were partying and there was this little roundabout.
“All this was constructed during our bender!
“We came out and it was nice to see that someone was doing something productive. We put the world to rights a few times and you built a road!
“I’ve got fond memories of those days but my life couldn’t be more different now.”
Bubbly Davinia has SUSAN HILL been teetotal for the last six years and now lives in London with partner Matthew Leyden, 36, who is the father of her two youngest children.
As well as eldest son Gray, nine, with exhusband Dave Gardner, Davinia also has five-yearold son Lux.
Her life now is so far removed from her days on Hollyoaks she thought there was no return for bad-girl character Jude.
She explained: “I really didn’t think I’d ever come back because I called my last baby, who’s only ten months old, Jude.
“But it’s been fabulous to bring the character back. I didn’t realise how wanted she was.
“I’ve been a full-time mum for so long that I forgot that I could do anything else apart from get pregnant and moan.”
Hollyoaks fans can see Davinia storm back into the village as Jude on October 7.
