I’d likey a return to Corrie

EASTENDERS lovebirds Ronnie Mitchell and Jack Branning look set to get hitched for the second time, we can reveal.

Our exclusive pictures show the Albert Square couple, played by Sam Womack and Scott Maslen, right, on their big day.

The cast of the BBC soap headed to Brockett Hall in Hertfordshire to film the special episode.

It will feature some of Sam’s last scenes before Ronnie and sister Roxy (Rita Simons, 39) are killed off. But Sam, who joined EXCLUSIVE ED GLEAVE TV Editor the cast in 2007, made the most of her final moments by larking about between takes.

In an interview last week Sam, 43, said starring on EastEnders is so miserable she can’t wait to do a comedy role after she leaves.

An onlooker said: “Sam was having a right laugh while filming the wedding scenes. You’d never guess she was working on a show like EastEnders.

“She hitched up her wedding dress to run around the grounds of Brockett Hall. And she took some wacky selfies.” Ronnie and Jack have been married in the past but after the cot death of their baby they divorced and he quit Walford.

He returned late last year and they rekindled their romance before she surprised him by popping the question.

Telly bosses have kept plans for their wedding under wraps as they planned to air it over Christmas.

But our sneak peek shows their bash will be a lavish affair with characters including Jamie Borthwick, 22, who plays Jay Brown, among the guests. Jake Wood, 44, was also spotted on set as he returns to play Max Branning following his release from prison. Ronnie and Roxy’s exit in the New Year is expected to be one of the most dramatic in EastEnders’ history. Several endings are being filmed but we can reveal fans will see Ronnie get killed off on her wedding night. Reports have said she will die in a swimming pool in “gruesome circumstances”. TELLY funnyman Paddy McGuinness wants to make a comeback on Corrie,

ED GLEAVE. He impressed fans when he made his debut on the soap as survival enthusiast Dougie Ryan last year.

In a chat with the Daily Star Sunday, Paddy admitted he’d be up for doing more and said: “I really enjoyed Corrie. It’s one of those things that’s always been on since I was a kid. It’s part of the make-up of British telly.

“Filming for the show was one of the best weeks I’ve had.”

Corrie bosses had been so desperate to get Paddy on the show they offered him a number of roles.

He starred in six episodes, with his character meeting Fiz Brown (Jennie McAlpine) and Tyrone Dobbs (Alan Halsall) on a camping trip.

The Take Me Out host known for his ‘no likey, no lighty’ catchphrase, said: “They’d asked me a few times to do it and I’d either not been able to or it didn’t feel quite right. But then the character of Dougie came along.

“It felt like a special episode to me. I liked that it wasn’t on the street itself. You could have a bit more fun.

“I had nerves because it’s such a big show and there are so many people watching. And you don’t want to let anyone down.”

He added: “I like acting. So if a part comes in that I like then I’ll give it a go.”
