TELLY star Helen Skelton says she found it “hilarious” when footage of her topless leaked online.

The video appeared on X-rated sites while she was part of the BBC’s Olympics presenting team in the summer.

Helen was 17 and relaxing on the beach with pals when she was filmed in just a pair of shorts.

Speaking about the footage for the first time, she told the Daily Star Sunday: “You’ve just got to laugh. I found the whole thing hilarious. I think it’s way too easy to take something like that way too seriously.

“I mean, I was 17 at the time, so the point during the Olympics in Rio when she hosted the swimming coverage in low-cut tops and short skirts.

She said: “People keep telling me there was a lot of hysteria.

“I just try to do a good job and have a good time, otherwise I may as well work in an office.”

Helen hopes her performance in Rio will be enough to secure her a spot on the presenting team for the Tokyo Games in 2020.

She said: “I’m really hoping to be part of it. Tokyo will be amazing.”

Helen, who was speaking at the Pride of Britain awards, added: “I’m a massive fan of sports and I grew up in a sporting household, so it’s kind of like Disneyland for sports fans. And yet it was my job.

“I kept getting told off for getting too excited in the studio.

“I was told to calm down. I was just too excited.

“I am so grateful to the young men and women who are our Olympians because they put on a heck of a show and they delivered.”
