Britain’s most foul-mouthed OAP, played by Catherine Tate, was back on TV last night.

She teamed up with Len Goodman on Let’s Sing and Dance for Comic Relief and performed Bonnie Tyler’s hit Holding Out For A Hero with a host of hunky dancers.

In a surprise twist Bonnie made an appearance, which went down a storm with viewers. Nan was first seen on TV in 2004 on Catherine Tate’s BBC sketch show. She has since starred in her own spin-off shows.

Last night’s show, hosted by Mel Giedroyc and Sue Perkins, also saw celebs competing in the first heat of the series.

Former Xtra Factor host Matt Edmondson performed the Nicki Minaj hit Super Bass.

And Ab Fab stars Helen Lederer and Harriet Thorpe did their own rendition of ABBA’s Dancing Queen.

Paul O’Grady was due to be on the judging panel last night but he pulled out just hours before it went on air. He was replaced by Canadian comic Katherine Ryan, who joined Jo Brand and Frank Skinner on the panel.

Celebrities including Duncan James and The Chase’s Mark Labbett will compete in the second heat, which will be shown next Saturday on BBC One.

The winners from each heat will compete in the final later this month.

The altercation happened while the singer and his girlfriend Eleanor Calder were walking through LAX airport after arriving in Los Angeles.

According to reports, Louis, 25, got into a scuffle with members of the paparazzi when they began taking pictures of the pair.

Louis is accused of knocking one photographer to the floor, leading to the man sustaining back and head injuries.

He was put under citizen’s arrest according to the LA Sheriff ’s department. The singer was charged with simple battery and a JIMMY McCLOSKEY misdemeanour, an offence that could see him spend a year in jail.

Documents state bail of £16,000 with a court date set for March 29.

Onlookers said Louis and the photographer had to be separated by security. A source said: “Louis was upset. After being filmed he told the snapper to stop, but he didn’t take kindly to the request.”

One witness said: “For a few seconds, it was a running brawl but then all you could see was a mass of bodies, with people piling into and on top of each other.”

Louis had just flown in from Las Vegas where he had been partying with blogger Eleanor, 24.

His lawyer Martin Singer said: “While the altercation was going on with paparazzi, three individuals were attacking his girlfriend and he came to her defence.”

The couple broke up in 2015 after dating for three years but recently rekindled their relationship.

Earlier this week she followed him on Instagram, after he re-followed her a few weeks ago.

Louis lost his mum Johannah Deakin to leukaemia in December, just days before he performed live at The X Factor final.

Last night his spokesman did not respond to requests for comment.
