Gem raid shock
BRAZEN thieves pulled off a ruthless heist at a plush jewellery store in Monaco in broad daylight yesterday.
Robbers raided the Cartier store after starting a fire in a nearby tunnel which features in the Monaco Grand Prix.
As emergency services were distracted, at least three gangsters entered the store before making off with thousands of pounds worth of jewellery.
The centre of Monaco went into lockdown, with the famous casino shut.
At least one raider was reported to have been wounded by police gunfire and two arrests were made.
