Ry & Lucy to fumble in jungle?

LUCY Mecklenburgh could be set to find romance in the jungle with former Corrie hunk Ryan Thomas. The good looking pair are together in Panama, South America, training for Channel 4’s Celebrity Island with Bear Grylls.

Bosses reckon newly single Lucy, 25, who split from boyfriend Nathan Sharp last month, will help make the survival series its sexiest yet.

And with the gorgeous babe being Ryan’s type, they’re going to do everything they can to get them together. A show source said: “Ryan only discovered that Lucy was taking part when she arrived in Panama on Friday – and his eyes lit up. They’ve been training together and the production team have already spotted how well they get on. There’s definitely a mutual attraction which is getting everyone excited.

“The crew are going to do everything they can to try to make it happen between them.” As well as Lucy and Ryan, 32, inset, the Daily Star Sunday can reveal that Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton, 32, and ex-swimmer Sharron Davies, 54, will also compete.

However, as they all face up to the very real prospect of having to drink their own wee after being dropped on a remote island to fend for themselves, a source close to Lucy admitted she’s a little worried but is determined to show her tough side. The close friend said: “Lucy is physically fit but she’s also incredibly gutsy. Everyone knows how good she looks in a bikini but she wants to show how strong she is.” The reality babe and her fellow celebs will be dropped close to the Pacific Ocean later this week. Once on the island they will be completely alone with only basic survival tools. Our show source added: “There’s a real buzz from the producers as they reckon it’s their sexiest series to date. “Everyone involved can’t wait to see how they’ll all do.”
