ROLF Harris’ business empire has folded – but not before the pervert netted a bumper £100,000 payout from the taxman.
The shamed entertainer – caged at HMP Stafford for molesting four females, including a girl under 10 – has no more companies after the last one dissolved earlier this month.
But he still netted a cushy fee of £103,000 for tax overpaid on cash earned.
HM Revenue and Customs paid the sum to Rolf Harris Enterprises after he forked out almost £50,000 to accountants to wind up his finances.
A source said: “Rolf is very pleased his business interests have been wound up despite him being in jail and is more than happy with the sixfigure sum in tax rebates.
“He’s looking forward to carrying on with his life and plans to move house and have a fresh start.”
Harris, who was cleared of three further sex assault charges in February, got more than £1million from the liquidation of one company. The 86-year-old and his wife Alwen, 85, received £1,056,029 from the closure of Rolf Harris Entertainment last December. A few months earlier they pocketed a payout of £60,095. They had already received £68,000 in April last year, £68,000 in March last year and an £859,000 windfall in March 2015. No more payouts are expected from the firm, which held money from royalties, his art and TV work. Harris’ family has taken millions from his business empire since he was jailed in 2014. He still owns a house on the Thames in Bray, Berks, worth £5million. The source said: “Rolf is an old man now and that is one of the reasons he wants all this taken care of. “He’s been able to fund his family and he looks forward to being able to enjoy his final days without any money worries.” THE ex-wife of Mini-Me star Verne Troyer has sent him a message of support in his latest battle to beat his booze addiction.
But former Playboy model Genevieve Gallen insisted in a US interview that the 2ft 8ins Austin Powers actor also needs help to overcome his obsession with nookie. She claims JOE HINTON they made love up to 10 times a day and declared: “He’s a sex addict…he told me that he’d had a huge number of girls.” Troyer, 48, is in an Los Angeles clinic after “almost dying” in hospital following a two-day bender. He has undergone rehab on at least three previous occasions.
