RESULT! Corky cannot sit still on Swans’ sidelines

-

JACK CORK is desperate to be involved for Swansea at Old Trafford today – because he cannot cope with being a spectator.

Cork has been sidelined with an ankle injury and watched the Swans’ 2-0 win over Stoke last weekend from a VIP box.

The Welsh side remain in the bottom three ahead of today’s high-noon trip to Manchester United.

And Cork, 27 (right) wants to spare himself the agony of a watching brief again.

“It was a great result and display last weekend against Stoke but I’d love to be back involved,” he said.

“I don’t know how the fans do it – from the penalty miss to our second goal, it was total madness.

“I was watching from one of the boxes and my son had to go back in because I was jumping up and down, screaming and shouting.

“I’m not great at watching the game.

“It’s difficult watching because I just want to be out there doing whatever I can to help.”

United are on a run of 24 games unbeaten in the Premier League so Swansea head coach Paul Clement knows it will be a tall order for his men to come away with anything.

“United have been playing Thursday and Sunday for many weeks now and they have an injury list, which I’m sure the manager is not happy with,” said Clement.

“When you play a lot of games you are obviously more at risk of injuries. “But we know it will not be easy. “You always hope when you play a big team at their stadium that they have a slightly off-day and you have a chance.

“We to perform to our best and hope the effects of all the games United have played, and their injuries, will hinder them in some way.

“It is special playing at Old Trafford and we have to go there with courage.”
