CAIN REVS UP FOR A FLING WITH THE VICAR

-

Iain MacLeod says the unlikely pairing came about because of his obsession with the idea of an angel and the devil having sex.

He said: “Harriet is somebody who is on her own. She’s an intelligent, feisty, attractive woman and there comes a point in her life where she’s thinking ‘What the hell am I doing here?’

“Often, when people reach that crossroads in their life they do something horribly unsuitable. So we thought who is more unsuitable for her than Cain? Also, he’s had his heart broken by Moira. Cain is a proud man and there’s a limit to the number of times you can go knocking on the same door and having it shut in your face before you make the conscious decision to move forward.

“We thought it would be funny and made sense with both their characters, also, I just liked the idea of the angel and the devil having sex. Call me a weirdo if you like but it seemed a good idea.

“The stuff coming up is sexy, funny and puts a smile on Cain’s face for the first time in months.”

In Tuesday night’s episode, viewers will see the randy pair getting ready for a night away together.

But when Cain arrives at the church to pick up Harriet she is stuck with Emma Barton who is hogging her attention. Desperate to get away, Cain locks Emma in a church cupboard – something Harriet finds hilarious.

Iain added: “Moira will always be the love of his life, I have to stress that, but Cain and Harriet is just a sexy interlude which turns into something more.

“It’s not just a bit of fun, it will take on a more serious tone as it progresses. I totally love it.”

Tune in to the ITV soap to watch Cain and Harriet’s saucy antics on Tuesday. TWINS Prince and Hunter McQueen sneak into school after-hours and are shocked to find their jailbird dad Shane there.

The drama kicks off when Hunter realises he has left his saucy sketches of teacher Neeta Kaur on her desk and he ropes in Prince to help retrieve them.

The pair come face-to-face with their dad but before they can find out why he is there they hear teacher Louis Loveday walking down the corridor.

The lads and Shane hide in a store cupboard while Louis does his marking.

They escape when Louis leaves the classroom, but Shane spots expensive camera equipment inside the cupboard and blackmails his sons into helping him steal it. A Hollyoaks insider said: “Shane is a nasty piece of work. All he cares about is himself.

“The moment they escape from the school he’s plotting to steal the new camera equipment.”

Hunter wants nothing to do with it and hopes he can persuade his dad it’s not a good idea. But a couple of days later Shane returns to the school pretending to be from the company that supplied the camera.

Our source said: “He turns on the charm and tells Neeta he needs to take the equipment as there’s been a mix-up. Neeta agrees to hand it over just as Hunter learns what his dad is up to.” You can see all the action on Channel 4 on May 9.
