WITHOUT Boozers left reeling at shock sacking of

-

SHE’S been at the heart of the Queen Vic for more than 30 years. But in Friday night’s episode, Tracey the barmaid was sacked by manager Harry “Woody” Woodward, leaving viewers shocked. His decision came after businesswoman Fi Browning, who is working for the freehold company buying the land the pub sits on, went over the pub’s books. She told Shirley and Woody the pub had too many staff and insisted that someone had to go. Woody put himself up for the axe but following a U-turn he gave Tracey her marching orders. In tomorrow night’s episode the Carters are still upset about Tracey’s firing and try to convince Fi and Woody to change their minds.

They have no luck so Sharon Mitchell and Whitney Carter help organise a send-off for her.

But viewers will have to wait to see whether the bash goes to plan.

An Albert Square insider told us: “Tracey has been in the Queen Vic for so long she’s practically part of the furniture.

“Her sacking has left the Carter family reeling, but with Woody having sided with Fi there is little they can do about it. They need to keep the freehold company happy to get out of the financial mess they’re in.” Our source warned regulars at the Queen Vic won’t be happy with the news. The insider went on: “Sharon and Whitney realise how important Tracey has been to the community all these years and decide to throw her a big party. “Tracey was heartbroken when Woody told her they would have to let her go. Whether she turns up for her party remains to be seen.” Watch as Sharon and Whitney help to organise the leaving do tomorrow night on BBC One.
