ABOVE & Kane: Derby wins are about pride for us now thanks to

TONY STENSON waiting for our game. But we have simply got to keep winning our games.

“Playing Arsenal is a massive one and I’m looking forward to it.

“But it’s more than just parochial now – this is about going for the Premier League rather than saying we beat Arsenal.

“It shows how far we have come in this short amount of time.

“Since the gaffer has been here, he has changed everything. You see the belief in the squad, you see the way we play.

“Sometimes we win 4-0 and we play fantastically and then there are nights like Wednesday when we have to battle, work hard to keep a clean sheet, dig deep and get a 1-0 – that’s what we did and that shows we can do both sides of the game. “Now we have to do that until the end.” Under Mauricio Pochettino (right) Spurs were second in the table at the same stage last season but were pipped by Arsenal in the final straight.

Kane added: “We have learned from that. Palace on Wednesday was a big game for us. After the disappointment of the FA Cup at the weekend, it was interesting to see how we’d react.

“And I thought we passed that test with flying colours.

“We made a couple of changes after the first half and got into the game better in the second half and just kept going and going and got that win.

“It just shows the character in this squad.

“One year on, there’s more maturity.

“But until we finish the last five games and see where we end up, we won’t really know.

“We are going to have to win all five just to have a chance.

“It’s a big game against Arsenal but we’ve got so many tough games coming now we have got to take it one by one. “Palace was tough. “It was a battle out there, a physical game as we knew it would be, and I think we did very well. “We were gutted after losing to Chelsea last week because we played so well. “On another day, things might have gone our way and we might have won it. “We were pleased with the way we played, it wasn’t like we didn’t turn up. So we could use that as a bit of a positive. “We came in on Sunday for a recovery session so we were all together there and we spoke about it for a bit and just said that we had to bounce back. “I think the best thing when you lose a game is to have another in quick succession so that you can turn things around. “That’s eight wins in a row now in the Premier League, which is fantastic. Hopefully we can just keep that going.” As a senior player, Kane usually has his dressing room say but claims they will not
