CRABBY ABI’S ON THE ALE
STEVE McDonald ends up in the midst of Abi Franklin’s boozy antics when she falls off the wagon. The reformed drug addict and alcoholic has been doing everything she can to clean up her act since being released from prison.
She got a job at the garage and is lodging at Eileen Grimshaw’s house. But when social services visit and tell her she has still got a long way to go before they will consider giving her kids back, Abi loses it.
And with Eileen spending some time away in Bristol she decides to throw a party.
Abi invites some of her old cronies for a boozing session, causing chaos on the street.
Hapless Steve, who is a good friend of Eileen’s, turns up to see what’s going on while she is away.
As our picture shows, it doesn’t take long for Abi and her drunken mates to SCHEMING Goldie McQueen pays a visit to the Donovan brothers’ salon for a moustache wax – as she is in need of cash.
The manipulative minx, who used to date Jesse Donovan, turns up for a last-minute appointment and her ex is happy to fit her in. But as Jesse does the procedure, Goldie sticks on a fake scar and asks for compensation. Kicking off, she tells Jesse how devastated she is and breaks down, claiming she will be left with a nasty scar above her lip.
Flustered Jesse asks Courtney Campbell to pay Goldie just to get her out of the salon. But as soon as she is outside Goldie whips off the scar, feeling rather pleased with her work. take full advantage of having a man at the party.
Watch the chaos unfold on Friday. A Corrie insider told us: “Abi beside herself.
“She’s tried so hard to stay on the straight and narrow and prove to social workers that she is capable of providing for her children.” A Hollyoaks source said: “Goldie needs cash and needs it quick. She decides Jesse would be the perfect target.
“She slips the fake scar in her pocket and heads to the salon to have her top lip waxed.
“But when Jesse is not looking she uses the fake scar to pretend the procedure has left her marked for life. “Jesse can’t believe it and is devastated to think he might have caused her an injury. “Goldie puts on quite a performance – so much so, Jesse asks Courtney for cash to pay her off. “It’s only after she hands over the money that Jesse tells her he is skint.”
